Mexico City, September 3, 2024.- Due to its low environmental impact, Liquefied Natural Gas is consolidating its position as an outstanding option for Mexico’s energy transition. Énestas was present in the new experience center at Sitrak Metropolitanos’ “Vive la Experiencia Metropolitanos” event. It participated in the section The Future is Green, where Metropolitanos showed the advantages of LNG as an optimal solution for fleet supply.
This fuel stands out not only for its low environmental impact, but also for its unique characteristics that make it an efficient solution for transportation. With a volume that is reduced from 600 to 1 in its liquid state, and 100% combustion, LNG also reduces the risk of fuel theft, ensuring a safe and reliable supply.
LNG allows carriers to store more gas in less space. LNG tractor-trucks have two 2,000-liter tanks, providing autonomy of up to 3,000 kilometers. Thus, it addresses the problem of completing long distances, allowing routes to be charted and leaving aside worries about running out of gas.
Carlos Boone, supply chain director at Énestas, explained.
